In-person: Emptiness and Form – A Qigong and Meditation Daylong Retreat with Mimi Kuo-Deemer
12 April 2025 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
£15.00 – £50.00EVENT DESCRIPTION
The world of form is the reality most familiar to us, yet it often brings messiness and problems: we experience pain, crave physical comfort, and feel the accumulation of life’s stresses as tension and worry.
Conversely, the concept of emptiness may seem elusive and difficult for our minds to comprehend. However, according to the Buddha’s teachings, emptiness is the true nature of reality.
What can we learn from the teachings on form and emptiness? And how can these concepts help us navigate the world with greater insight, ease, and freedom?
These are the questions we will explore together through reflections, contemplations, and the embodied practices of qigong and mindful breathing. All levels are welcome, and no prior experience of qigong is necessary.
