In-person: The Dance of Interdependence – Awakening Through Relationship with Rosalie Dores & Brent Beresford
5 October 2024 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
£17.00 – £60.00EVENT DESCRIPTION
In Western Buddhist communities there is a great emphasis on individual meditation practice. While this is both wise and beneficial, it may not provide us with the skills necessary to navigate our relational lives. Indeed, if we look across the globe, we can see a breakdown, if not failure of relationships.
Insight Dialogue, a relational meditation practice, bridges the benefits of individual practice into our relational lives. It recognises that relationship itself is a path sorely needed in our times. It calls forth the refuge of sangha, supporting us in cultivating the heart qualities that allow us to intentionally, be in community with compassion, kindness and empathy.
In this daylong retreat we will explore the clarity that can be touched in being together and cultivating the shared space of relationship. We will re-discover how we might navigate the dance of independence and interdependence. The day will include silent and relational practice.
We and everything we perceive
are interwoven and not interwoven,
and this interweaving continues on and on,
while each thing stands in its own place.
– Shitou Xiqian
