EVENT OVERVIEW

The nature and transparency of the self, the ‘me’, is an essential core element of the journey to wisdom and a liberated life. Yet it is often hard to relate to in practice, and in life, and we can be left with it as a mysterious Buddhist concept of Anatta or emptiness.

It can become much clearer if we explore how it feels to act in life with less dependence on an actor, controller and subject.  This also addresses important questions: how can we make choices, how can we act effectively, how can we engage with the community, who is it that practices, and how can we look after ourselves with less of a ‘doer’ in charge of things?

In this one day online intensive we will practice and invite insights into the self and beyond the self, and explore its implications in relation to action in life, by means of meditation, exercises, dharma talk and discussion.

Events at London Insight are offered in a spirit of generosity. The price you pay goes towards the running of the event but does not include any payment to the teachers for their teaching. Standard:  £12  – This covers our costs.
Sponsor:  £15  – A voluntary higher rate enabling us to offer supported rate places.
Supported:  £5  – For those unable to afford the standard rate.
