Online: Dependent Origination and Emptiness with Leigh Brasington

This online event will be held via Zoom on Sunday August 14th from 3:30pm to 7pm (BST).

EVENT DESCRIPTION

“One who sees dependent origination sees the Dhamma; one who sees the Dhamma sees dependent origination.” MN 28.28

This half day event will serve as an introduction to some of the key points of the Buddha’s teachings on dependent origination and emptiness. In the first part we will discuss what is seemingly the “original” version of the famous links as well as the more well known twelve links. We will also discuss other dependent origination links such as the set of links found in the Honeyball Sutta (MN 18). In the second half we will discuss the general principle of dependent origination and its deep implications as well as the relationship of dependent origination and emptiness.
