Online: Gradual Training to Awakening with Leigh Brasington

EVENT DESCRIPTION

“The Gradual Training” (anupubbasikkhā) is the name given to a series of practices that are to be undertaken in order to progress on the spiritual path. It appears to be the curriculum for the monks and nuns in the Buddha’s sangha. If one were to become a monastic, here are the practices that were to be done.

However, these practices are also highly applicable to lay practitioners. Multiple of these practices will probably be familiar to anyone who has practiced extensively in any Buddhist tradition. During the two afternoons of this online weekend workshop, we will take a look at a sutta (DN 2) that describes these practices.

Events at London Insight are offered in a spirit of generosity. The price you pay goes towards the running of the event but does not include any payment to the teachers for their teaching. The booking fee is for both days of the workshop.

Supported: £12 – For those unable to afford the standard rate.

Please pay the sponsor rate if you can. If you are unable to afford the supported rate please let us know. We try to ensure that no one is turned away because of lack of funds, providing places are available.
